No He Isn't and Who is ​​Steve Delickson?🗞️🤖​🖥️

It isn't a life and death situation.  Here's what I know so far:

One article, apparently LLM generated, created content announcing the above headline - "Gruden Set to Take Charge..."

Then another LLM generated article is written and placed on a news site and then yet ANOTHER site picked up the piece and incorporated it on a landing page.

This looks and feels like the LLMs, under the control of a prompt, scraped websites and generated articles based on the scrapped reports.  Two innocuous news sites and one reasonably authentic property dedicated to facts about movie and actors.

I couldn't be sure, so I asked ChatGPT, "does this content appear to be LLM generated if so what are the clues?" Here is its response: ​

Sure. It's just an article about football. No harm, no foul, right?

Until you consider the mechanics: An Ai, through the prompt of an LLM, is generating content based on other content on the internet.
And
Until you consider the 'mechanic': The mother article, as much as I can tell, is penned by a "Steve Delickson" who has no LinkedIN profile.  If he does, it is well hidden, which is odd behavior for a journalist.

Now, I'm not against using LLMs to write, I have three here on this property.  But I make it easily apparent that the 'writers' are LLMs/GPTs.  These pieces go to ground or dead end at the writer's name.
 
Also, no major media outlet has reported on this as of 4:28 ET, July 8, 2024.  Odd.

Regardless, if there is a substantive and rational explanation, I will post and respond accordingly.

For now, more Ai drama.
