By Greg Walters, First on The Death of the Copier, Thursday, March 2, 2023 Welcome to the future of search - where ChatGPT leads the way and SEO is a thing of the past. Welcome to the Future. This is why Google is freaking out and the behemoth, Microsoft, dropped ten billion dollars in the lap of OpenAI - Artificial Intelligence is changing the way we work, access information and Live and the adoption curve is a straight line up. "There is blood in the water." Artificial Intelligence, or Augmented Intelligence, is transforming the way we access information and work, rendering traditional search engines and websites obsolete. The impact of AI adoption is causing giants like Google and Microsoft to invest heavily in the technology, with OpenAI receiving a ten-billion-dollar investment from Microsoft. The future of the PC is often attributed to The transition from monolithic systems, such as mainframes, to individualized AI, represents a shift in control from large corporations to individuals. Soon, everyone will have access to their own AI, which will respond to their specific needs and personas. "Somewhere there is this whiteboard." In a hidden underground bunker, a whiteboard displays a list of terms that are becoming obsolete, with bold letters and lines drawn through them. This list represents the shifting technological landscape, as new advancements and innovations render traditional practices and technologies outdated. The List of Obsolescence: SEO, Search Engines, Websites, Cookies, Keywords, Search Questions, Demographics, SalesForce, HubSpot, Intuit, Copywriters, News reports, Actors. etc. For businesses, this means that traditional methods of marketing, such as SEO and search engines, will no longer be effective in reaching consumers. The AI revolution will change the way we interact with data and technology, providing more authentic and personalized experiences. Think of AI as a set of lenses. Beware, Gravitational Lensing. We aim this lens at databases, focus, and answer questions based on the observations of the data and the inter-relationships of the data, through the lens of our 'prompts'. This lens can be pointed at different areas and multiple subjects at the same time. But once the glare of advertising and the market gets caught in the mechanisms of lenses(Cookies, SEO, algorithms, fact-checkers, et al), distortion and misinterpretation occur. AI Purity does not allow for such trivialities - albeit an $80 Billion triviality. The battle, Engaged. The SEO industry is worth over $80 billion. Estimations are that businesses in the US are spending more than $80 billion on SEO services. This number is significantly higher than the one for 2018 when businesses were estimated to spend $72 billion on search engine optimization. With this much on the line, SEO and google algorithm experts will not "go quietly in the night". While large corporations have initially benefited from AI, the nature of this technology means that it will eventually become accessible to everyone, transforming the way we seek and receive information. As more companies rely on marketing tactics and agendas, pure AI will emerge as a powerful tool for providing authentic and accurate information to individuals and organizations alike. As AI technology continues to evolve and become more accessible, it has the potential to revolutionize our lives, making them not only easier but also more fulfilling. Developers are creating thousands of new APIs and applications that cater to a range of needs, from flying cars to automated dry cleaning and beyond. One More Thing. I mentioned earlier, the transitory nature of things. MS and the big boys are the initial benefactors at this precipice, but AI will get away from them. Pure AI is untarnished by marketing, positioning for narratives, and agendas. As the drive for revenue and increased stockholder value increases, the data becomes more diffused and less authentic. It is something we've grown numb to and accustomed to with contemporary search results. No more.
